It was a magical day at George O. Barr. Students have been working on following directions the first time. To celebrate this goal, they watched a magician with tons of fun tricks! Thanks to the PBIS team for planning this and to our students who worked hard in this area!
Mrs. Rossmiller's class had a blast during our arctic cold temperatures. They stepped outside to see if bubbles would freeze. Science is fun!
Congratulations to Mrs. Rossmiller's January students of the month. Our theme was Honor You, Honor Me (respect). Way to go students!
Please remember that car drop-off is in the back of the building. You need to enter the alley off of 14th Street. Bus drop-off is in the front of the building. Please follow this procedure to keep our students safe and our bus routes running on time for the junior high routes.

There is a water main break so there is no water or ability to flush toilets at Northeast Junior High School. We are sorry for the inconvenience but we need parents to pick up their students (NEJH STUDENTS ONLY) as soon as you are able. Please park in the parking lot, come into NEJH and sign out your student. If you are not able to pick up your child, please call the school to make arrangements. GOB will remain in session through the end of the day.

In the event that inclement weather necessitates the closing of school, we will use a traditional snow day. If possible, I will announce the closing the night before via email, text, Facebook, and the district website. Local radio stations will also be notified.
While we do not anticipate using an E-learning Day in the future, we want maintain that option in an emergency. In order to use an E-learning Day, the district is required to notify parents of the plan and post the plan to the website. Reminder that elementary students will be going outside for recess when the "feels like" temperature is 15 degrees and above (25 degrees for PreK). Students must have snowboots, snowpants, gloves, hat, and coat to play in snow. Bundle up your children as winter weather is here.
