The Silvis School District is one of 15 school districts selected to participate in a District Comprehensive Approach Pilot sponsored by AASA (The School Superintendent's Association) and the JED Foundation. The goal of this work is to improve mental health outcomes for students, as well as to reduce suicide rates among young people. Our district currently provides many services and supports, but social/emotional issues continue to interfere with our ability to educate some children. We look forward to collaborating with 14 other school districts nationwide to develop innovative approaches to address mental and behavioral health.
