Silvis School District

On November 16, 2022, the Silvis Board of Education approved two building additions, the remodeling of several rooms, and the installation of geothermal energy at George O. Barr Elementary. Due to an increase in support services, there was not enough room for all employees. American Rescue Plan funds, the Facilities Sales Tax, and fund reserves are being used to pay for the project. The property tax rate did not increase as a result of this project.
