Two Rivers YMCA School-Age Care programs provide a nurturing environment and emphasize the development of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all of our young participants.

Before and after school care is offered to children at George O. Barr Elementary School.

Conveniently located at our school, the Y’s School Age Care Program is full of excitement and challenges. Staff members plan each day with new and exciting activities, which develop spirit, mind and body. The goal is for each child to feel successful about his/her accomplishments. The staff plan special themes designed to add different activities and challenges each week.

The goals of the program are:

• to provide quality care for children

• to support the needs of the family unit

• to help children develop to their fullest potential

• to assist with academic achievement

• to foster fitness and physical skills

• to deliver the program in a positive YMCA environment of safety, support, and care

• to offer activities that encourage confidence and feelings of self-worth

• to promote the 40 Developmental Assets

• to provide the children with nutritional snacks
