The Curriculum Committee and district staff research and recommend curriculum changes to the Board of Education.  The district approved ELA curriculum is Into Reading (Grades K-4) and Expeditionary Learning (Grades 5-8).  Both programs are rigorous and aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards.  In the 2018-2019 school year, a new math curriculum called Go Math was implemented in grades K-8.  The Board of Education, administration, faculty, and staff understand the importance of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education so the district offers instruction in computers, music, band, and engineering.  Opportunities to participate in athletics and various clubs are also available to students.
